Defense of the Ancients + tons of new gear and spec

Well, not exactly tons, but you get my drift. I saved enough honor points for three items on my PvP Gear Wishlist for my main. The new random BG tool was a huge boost for my honor savings. Here’s the list of items I bought:

I’m currently saving up for Wrathful Gladiator’s Cloak of Ascendancy. The cloak can be bought in Hall of Legends, Orgrimmar, for 52 200 honor points. I already have around 28000 now, so I expect to have the cloak by the end of the week. Yesterday, I saw someone on the trade channel desperately trying to sell Bejeweled Wizard’s Bracers, which I’ve always wanted. I had some savings left, but I really couldn’t afford the bracers since I still have to level my two professions: tailoring and enchanting. However if I really want something, nothing can put my mind off it. So after a couple hours of farming, the person on trade channel still wanted to sell the bracers and I had enough cash to buy them, with an additional 400g left to spend on tailoring (hardly enough, I know, but in a couple of hours time, pretty good job). Now I bought the bracers, but I really need to buy epic gems for them. For most of my items really. But gems on Boulderfist cost a fortune, unless you use honor points to buy them and then ask a jewelcrafter to cut them for you for about 15-20g each. So that’s what I’m going to do, after I spend my honor buying myself the rest of the items on my wishlist. Getting there people 🙂

On another note, today I log in and enter the queue for random BG. Strand of the Ancients pops up. I have a love-hate relationship with Strand of the Ancients, since we tend to lose there more then I’d like. Today was an entirely different story though: it actually went great. We reached the room with the relic in under four minutes and then, when it was our turn to defend, I got this pretty little achievement.

You get the achievement when you are defending and you lose no walls. It was crazy awesome. We were constantly fighting on the beach, killing of Alliance players like they were flies sitting on the wall. I didn’t die once, which also gave me a very good feeling. It’s not that we were with more in numbers, because they had like all their players on the beach and we had about 3/4 of our players there. We were just too awesome 😉

Yesterday evening, I respecced. A little. I figured that my destruction spec wasn’t really doing that much good to me, because I had put some points in wrong talents. So I paid 10g and shifted my points around. I still have destro as first spec and affliction as second, I just changed my built a little. My new spec is 2/14/55. The two points I have in affliction are in suppresion, to help me reach the hit cap. Anyway, if you want to check out my new spec, just visit my armory page.
